This isn’t stained glass as you might expect, but rather it’s a mosaic comprised of 100s of angular pieces of soft cotton fabric fitted together and adhered to a black background in a depiction of the “Blue Hour” in autumn: the sun has recently set and a calm, almost ethereal feeling blankets the land. It’s the time when the dimming glow of daylight succumbs to the beginning of night.
Framed in a black, wooden frame, 1.5” white mat, and glass with UV protection.
Finished Size: 24” x 24”
Autumn Fires
"In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!
Pleasant summer over,
And all the summer flowers.
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.
Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!"
~ Robert Louis Stevenson
