I was so taken with the beauty of a bouquet I recently received that I decided to immortalize it in fabric collage form. I’ve included a photo of the actual bouquet below.
Upon its completion, a friend took one glance at this collage and exclaimed that it looked like the bouquet was surrounded by stars. And you know what? She had a valid point. The background did look like stars. Varied perspectives are fascinating, aren’t they? I truly cherish them. Thus, I chose “Midnight Garden” as the name of this piece of art.
Comprised of well over 500 tiny pieces of cotton material, this raw edge fabric collage has been adhered to a framed canvas and then permanently steamed into place.
