The Lemon Tree, Revisited: 24" x 36" AWARD WINNING - BEST IN SHOW!

$650.00

I had created a lemon tree a couple of years ago (see my Home Page), which now lives on my living room wall as part of a fruit tree triptych. Since the initial lemon tree has rooted itself and will remain as a permanent fixture on my wall, I revisited this concept and created a second, modified and improved version to share with others including an organically-shaped trunk, smaller lemons, a curvier pot, no expensive frame, etc. Originality is typically what excites me, but sometimes creatively elevating a favorite collage can feel so very satisfying as well.

You know what else is satisfying? Recently being awarded the BEST IN SHOW for this piece at a local art exhibit! What a magical moment!

Watch as this fabric fruit tree grows in the photos below.

This raw edge fabric collage has been created by adhering hundreds of cotton material swatches directly to a stretched canvas piece by piece, and then permanently steaming them into place.
